I'll be straight with you, most free airdrops are barely worth the time. But the ACI testnet campaign is one of the rare ones that costs absolutely nothing, takes under an hour to set up, and has a confirmed 30 million $ACI token pool waiting to be distributed before June 30, 2026. If you haven't heard of it yet, you still have time.
Here's what it is and exactly how to get in.
What Is ACI?
ACI is an early-stage blockchain positioning itself as the first AI blockchain built on post-quantum cryptography. The core idea is future-proofing, its encryption is designed to resist attacks from quantum computers, a threat that most existing blockchains haven't seriously addressed yet.
It's an ambitious claim for a project still in testnet, but the airdrop itself is confirmed and the participation barrier is about as low as it gets in crypto. You don't need to spend real money. You just need a MetaMask wallet and some free test ETH.
The Airdrop Details
ACI has allocated 30,000,000 $ACI tokens specifically for the current testnet phase. The total token supply is 1 billion ACI, so this phase 1 pool represents a meaningful slice of the early distribution.
Rewards are activity-based. Your share of the pool depends on how much you do, swapping, staking, completing missions, and working through Zealy quests. There's no fixed per-wallet amount. The more tasks you complete before the deadline, the stronger your position.
Phase 1 closes on June 30, 2026. That's a hard cutoff. Anything left incomplete after that date doesn't count.
Step One: Get Free Sepolia ETH
Before anything else, you need Sepolia testnet ETH to pay gas and swap for ACI test tokens. This is completely free — just head to a faucet like Alchemy and claim it. No wallet balance required, no purchase needed.
If you run into faucet limits, try a couple of different faucets or wait 24 hours between claims. Some faucets require a small mainnet balance to verify you're human, so keep that in mind.
Setting Up on the ACI Testnet
Open the ACI testnet app and connect MetaMask. Switch your network to Sepolia when prompted and approve the wallet connection. Once you're in, navigate to the wallet tab and swap your Sepolia ETH for $ACI test tokens.
Before swapping, check the mission board to understand how much ACI you'll need for staking and task requirements. Swap enough to cover everything in one go rather than going back and forth.
Staking Unlocks the Mission Board
This is the step that trips people up. The mission board is locked until you stake your ACI tokens. Once you head to the staking page and stake your test tokens, the full mission list becomes accessible. Don't skip this, without staking, you can't start earning toward your allocation.
Missions and Zealy Quests
With staking done, work through the on-chain missions inside the ACI app. These are straightforward tasks tied to actual blockchain interactions, swaps, staking actions, and protocol activity.
Then head over to the Zealy quest board for the social and community side. Tasks there include following ACI on X, sharing content, and community engagement. Both sources feed into your phase 1 score, so doing only one leaves rewards unclaimed.
The Creator Program
ACI is also running an optional Creator Program with a 400 USDT reward pool for content creators. If you create and post content about the project on X and submit your entry through their official process, you're in the running for a share. This doesn't affect your testnet allocation, it's a separate reward pool entirely, but it's a nice bonus if content creation is already your thing.
A Few Quick Tips
Use a single wallet for everything. All your swaps, staking, and mission completions should map to one address so your activity is counted cleanly at snapshot.
Don't leave this to the last day. Faucet limits and network congestion can slow things down. Give yourself a buffer before June 30.
My Take
For a free airdrop, ACI checks the right boxes, confirmed allocation, clear tasks, no financial risk. Twelve days remain before Phase 1 closes. Get in now.
